Located on a powder white sandy beach on the northern Hotel Zone of Isla Cozumel, facing the crystal waters of the Mexican Caribbean. This elegant all inclusive resort is only five minutes from downtown and the shopping area. Here you can find romance, excitement or relaxation. There is no better view on the Island than the one from your balcony, turquoise waters and painted sunsets are standard features. El Cozumeleño is located on the Mexico's Caribbean Dream Island: Cozumel. Only 30 miles long and 9 miles wide, Isla Cozumel might have been the First Caribbean island vacations spot. As evidenced by the Castillo and San Gervasio ruins; these vestiges of Mayan visits document the legacy of Cozumel as a resort for hundred of years past. Today's Cozumel retains a casual, relaxing atmosphere of good sun, good sea and good times, but Cozumel's truly captivating charms are found at the shoreline. Ribbons of white sand beach interrupt a shallow coral coastline, which leads southward to the Palancar Reef. A M E N I T I E S: Deluxe Rooms (North Tower): * Bedding - 1 king size * Occupancy limits - 2 adults, 2 total * All rooms include satellite television, air conditioning, telephone and mini fridge. * These are suite sized rooms with an ocean view, there is no division between the room and sitting area. Ocean View Rooms (North Tower): * Bedding - 2 double beds or 1 king size bed * Occupancy limits - 4 adults, 2 adults - 2 children, 4 total * All rooms include satellite television, air conditioning, telephone and private balcony or terrace. Most of these rooms in the North Tower (the original building) are about 77m2 (231 sq.ft.) including the terrace. Ocean View Rooms (South Tower): * Bedding - 2 doubles or 1 king size bed & sofa * Occupancy limits - 4 adults, 2 adults - 2 children, 4 total * All rooms include satellite television, air conditioning, telephone and private balcony or terrace. * Rooms in the South Tower are regular superior size and offer ocean view. Caribbean design, style, and atmosphere suffuse the El Cozumeleno Beach Resort, which contains 252 guestrooms in two towers. The resort's many activities include shows produced by the activity/entertainment staff at the resort's open-air theater three nights weekly. A lovely plaza next to the indoor pool contains a colorful ceramic fountain, plus a black-and-white chess set with pieces the size of third graders. Also within the resort are a small, air-conditioned fitness center, a children's activities center, and a dive center for arranging scuba diving and snorkeling excursions. Like most Cozumel hotels, the El Cozumeleno recommends against drinking tap water and supplies bottled water.
