Our resort offers extensive recreational facilities, gourmet cuisine, a casual relaxed atmosphere, personal caring service and Bermudian hospitality that is second to none.
Pompano was founded in 1955 and actually opened as Bermuda's first fishing club. Our father, Thomas Lamb (an American from Boston, Massachusetts) initially partnered with a Bermudian (Ewing Trott) - purchasing the club outright from him in 1956 (following the passing of the "Pompano Act" in the Bermuda Parliament, which enabled him to own over 40% of a Bermudian business). Our family has owned and operated Pompano ever since.
Our Mother and Father turned the small fishing club into the resort that it is today by enlarging the main clubhouse, adding numerous facilities and gradually phasing in additional accommodation buildings. All of our guest room buildings are named after local game fish as a tribute to our fishing club heritage. We have gone to great lengths to maintain the casual elegance and cozy, intimate atmosphere that first made our resort popular.
We hope you will give us an opportunity to welcome you to our resort. From the moment you arrive our dramatic oceanfront location on Bermuda's southwest coast will take your breath away as will our eager-to-please staff : many of whom have been with us for numerous years. We pride ourselves on offering an exceptionally high level of personal, caring service and are committed to ensuring that your stay is truly a memorable experience. |
