Under the Sun is located on a beach in the fishing village of Hopkins, about 100 miles south of Belize City and 100 miles north of the Bay Islands of Honduras. We are 15 miles west of the world's second largest barrier reef and 15 miles east of the Jaguar Reserve with its 1000-meter peaks and rain forests with 170 annual inches of rain. Hopkins, by contrast, receives fifty inches annually, most of it falling during the monsoon season of June through mid-October. |
