The Radisson Fort George Hotel Launches The Poolside Stonegrill Restaurant
Belize City, Belize- October 25th 2002
Today marks the opening of the Radisson's newest food outlet, Stonegrill Restaruant. With the Colonial pool thatched palapa recently renovated, and dining area enlarged, the Radisson has brought to Belize a unique, relaxed interactive dining experience.
The Stonegrill method of cooking is featured in hundreds of restaurants worldwide. It enables patrons to enjoy a freshly grilled meal, cooked to match personal taste, whether it be rare, medium or well-done. The volcanic stone is heated to 700 degrees farenheit. The sizzling, hot stone sears the meat faster and locks in the natural juices and nutrients, ensuring full flavor and tenderness of all foods. Upon presentation of the Stonegrill meal, diners simply turn over their Stonegrill selection, then cut and side-lay portions allowing these to sear and cook to their liking. Food remains hot and enjoyable throughout the meal.
Stonegrill cooks with the absence of added oils or fats. It is therefore healthier and much lower in calories than traditional cooking methods. This method has been endorsed by the International Heart Foundation and is the preferred method of dining in order to keep the lowest levels of cholesterol possible when engaging in social dining.
The Stonegrill Restaurant is located at the Radisson Poolside and also offers a variety of local beverages, juices, exotic cocktails, delcious mixed drinks and special wines. Stonegrill is open everyday for lunch and dinner from 11:30am to 10:00pm.
