Great location...... great view..... felt safe...... food was alright, a bit on the expensive side.
While we were there there was a lot of construction going on, from about 8am till near 5pm. Lots of noise and lots of shouting construction people talking to each other.
The taxes were outrageous. 10%?? You would buy a drink at $6.60 (which oddly had the 10% added in), only to pay an additional 10% on top of that, at the end of the trip if you had it charged to your your room.
The nearby snorkeling was a blast. Great fun and easy to get to. The reef near the resort was quite beautiful indeed. If you fish, this was the place to go.
Be careful of the water taxi service while in the area. They cancel scheduled boat taxi's, only to charge you $25 to go to the same place they were suppose take you in the first place. Most rides were only 3 or 3.5 miles away, about 5 minutes by boat.
I would not recommend this resort to any of my friends. Way to over priced, especially for a small hut like room that smelt BADLY of bug spray. From what I could see though, if you were a time share holder or owned some sort of property there, you were certainly treated differently.
Staff was friendly enough at times. You know, that Safeway fake friendly.
If I were to rate my stay at this Resort from 1-10, I would give it a 5.5 Not much to do if you happen not to leave the resort during the day.

This is a great place, was the site of that tacky TV show, Temptation Island. The beach is wonderful, the rooms are huts right on the beach. The basic rooms don't have air but the breeze is wonderful. Off the beaten path, fly into Belize City, take a small plane to Ambergris Caye, then high speed boat to Morgan's. An ez bike ride (free) to the small town, a dirt road main street. Not much there but it is great to experience, small shops, wonderful ambiance. A great and unique vacation, people very friendly, fantastic weather and water activities - world class scuba, snorkel, fishing. Great food at the resort, very quiet and private.
