Palmetto Bay Plantation is an eco-sensitive resort situated on Roatan's most beautiful shore. The design of our rental casas and restaurant pavilion is an architectural blend of tropical island simplicity and comfortable luxury. Reminiscent of forms found on Bali, each home features vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, imported tile baths and large covered exterior decks - all tastefully decorated.
Every home has a great room with living and dining areas. The well-equipped kitchens feature full-sized refrigerators, gas ranges and large microwave ovens. The counter/bar is a focal point of any gathering. Large louvered hardwood doors in the great room and bedrooms roll back to reveal tropical vistas of palm trees, exotic flowers and sea views. No matter which home you are in, a short walk through lush tropical gardens will lead you to the beach, pool or seaside restaurant.
The "Bougainvillea" is a spacious home with a great room, large kitchen and two master bedrooms, each with adjoining bathrooms. This home will accommodate one or two couples or a family of four.
The "Hibiscus" features a great room, kitchen and three bedrooms. The master bedroom has an adjoining bathroom. The other two bedrooms share a nearby bathroom. This home is suitable for one or two couples with children or a family of four or five.
The "Orchid" is a large duplex with a great room, kitchen, two bedrooms and one bathroom with a spectacular view of the sea. This home is suitable for one or two couples or a family of three or four.

Roatan features scuba diving at its best. Thousand-foot walls festooned with deepwater gorgonians, coral gardens and barrel sponges, pillar coral, 60-foot deep ledges crowded with blackcap basslets, mini-walls clustered with bluebell tunicates, pinnacles overgrown with azure vase sponges, and shy indigo hamlets peering from niches are all aspects of scuba diving in Roatan in the Bay Islands of Honduras. A short boat ride away, you will find spur/canyon configurations, coral gardens, ledges, overhangs, caverns, and vertical fissures. Miles of reef leave scuba diving in Roatan uncrowded and many areas have yet to be explored by visitors. Large groupers and moray eels are a common sight. On any given dive around Roatan, one might see a hawksbill turtle or spotted eagle ray gracefully gliding by.
