Oceanview Cottage is a unique, one of a kind tree house secluded in the beautiful foliage of a Bahamian island. It is located on the southern part of quiet, peaceful Lubbers Quarters Cay. The island is one and one-half miles long and completely surrounded by shallow water with numerous beaches. Lubbers is a naturalist's dream with many varieties of rare birds, wild orchids, trees like mahogany and royal poinciana. There are many paths available for walking or jogging.
Oceanview Cottage is on the side of a hill 50 feet above sea-level. This spectacular view of the Atlantic ocean can be seen through the large bedroom windows to the East, and the view to the South is the Sea of Abaco.
Lubbers is easily accessible by boat to Hope Town, a quaint settlement on Elbow Cay where groceries, restaurants, bars and laundry facilities may be found. It is also just a short ride to Marsh Harbour, which is serviced by numerous airlines from Florida and Nassau. Taxis waiting at the airport will take you to your boat rental company. Oceanview Cottage is only a two minute walk to the Community Harbour and beach. You can tie up your rental boat in our private boat slip in the Community Harbour. |
