Some people can't be pleased!
By: Rhonda from Minnesota
Date of Visit: February 2006
I agree with Jeff, some people can't be pleased! We are leaving in a week for our 5th consecutive year at the Breezes Bahamas. We are a group of 20 plus (depending on the year), and we have always had a great time. (We are in our 40s and 50s)We leave home knowing we are going to have a great time, and do just that. We do not go down there with some notion that we will be the only ones there and must be catered to or coddled. The staff is very friendly and helpful should there be any issue that we need to bring to their attention. The food is good, drinks are all top shelf, and the entertainment is absolutely wonderful. The house band is extremely good. We don't have an issue with noise - we don't go down there to go to bed at 10 PM!! Your vacation, regardless of where you go, is what you make of it. If you want to spend 2 to 3 times the amount and be catered to and coddled, go to the Atlantis.

Very Dissapointed
By: AB from Iowa
Date of Visit: July 2006
My girlfriends and I were so excited to go to the Bahamas. I am a stay-at home mom and they are all teachers, so we saved our money to go on a trip that we were expecting to be awesome. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we had nothing but troubles. Our friends spent an hour waiting for a room after being sent to 2 that already had people in them. Our room had a tub that would not drain and of the 8 times we called and asked them to fix it, they came twice. (It finally drained the fifth day of our six day stay) The rooms were nasty. There was a gas leak. We also talked to MANY people that were very dissatisfied with their stay. Some guests didn't have air conditioning. One family we talked to said the ceiling had fallen in from water damage in the first room they were sent to. Some of the staff was friendly (the ones that worked at the restaurant and bar areas) and the entertainment was horrible! We felt like it was being coordinated by children. The food was revolting. My nine month old's jar baby food tastes better. I have stayed at the all-inclusive moon palace in Cancun and the food was excellent, so I was expecting the food to be good here also. I got sick after eating at the Pastafari place. It was very loud, but after being there a day and realizing that this was just a "party hotel" I got used to it. And everything there looks VERY partied out. I'm glad that I went with such an awesome group of girls and met some really neat people. Otherwise the trip would have been a disaster. If you are planning to go on your honeymoon here, I would definitely do some re-thinking. If you are looking to party and drink excessively the entire time you are visiting, then you will probably love the food and won't mind the atmosphere.

Breezes Punta Cana - WELL BELOW STANDARD
By: Sharon / ramditta from Canada
Date of Visit: October 2005
We just got married and decided to stay at Breezes Superclubs all inclusive resort and what a nightmare it turned out to be. The hotel was below standard, chipped tiles, moldy pillows, dirty rooms. You would be lucky if the maid left you shampoo in your room on a daily basis.
We didn't get much sleep as they allowed some guests to roam around the property drunk and curse at the top of their lungs in the middle of the night. Their security staff just stand there and watch the disrupters for hours and not do anything about it leaving the guests to fend for themselves and tell the other guests to be quiet, whether they listen or not is anybody's guess.
Do yourself a favour and don't stay at Breezes, there are plenty of other fine resorts that say they are 4 star and actually are. Breezes is, in my opinion, a 2.5 - 3 star resort.

WORST TIME EVER!!!
By: D. Soto from New Jersey
Date of Visit: June 2005
I recently got married at Breezes Bahamas and deeply regret it. We had over 25 guests and every single room had a problem, whether it be a cleaning issue (room not cleaned for 2 days) or a maintanence issue (room leaked water for 2 days, A/C broken). The staff are unorganized and misinformed. One employee even told me on the eve of my wedding day that there were no weddings scheduled for the next day. I'm back home in the USA, still without my wedding license, which was falsely promised to me before I left. I am passing on to all I know what a rotten time me and my wife had. For memories I weas hoping to cherish, they're now tainted by the terrible experience we had.

What's up with the Whiners? We had a great time!!!
By: Jeff McNabb from Greensboro, NC
Date of Visit: April 2004
We read some bad reviews before we went on our honeymoon about the Breeezes resort but booked the trip anyway. We are really glad we did. The place was great! We heard some folks complain but some people can never be happy with anything. If you are looking for a 5 star resort and 5 star service, don't go to the Bahamas Breezes Resort. Come off the hip and book your stay at the Atlantis. If you want a great value for you vacation dollar, great service, great food, and a great time, the Breezes is for you. Yes it was loud at times, if people having a good time bothers you, then go sulk at another place. The Staff was amazing! They were so dedicated to the resort and the guests. I have never seen so many multi-talented people in one place. A lot of the people waiting on you during the day were the entertainment at night and the were great. Some of the bad reviews complained about the food, where did that come from? Several complained about nothing to eat but dried out burgers. The food was outstanding! The variety was great! The had burgers at the poolside grill, among other things. Maybe the unhappy ones didn't know where the main dining room was? If they had found it they would have found the outstanding buffet for every meal. It featured everything from local seafood all the way up to ribeyes and fillet mignon. All this is included in the price you pay when you book your stay. All the food, all the drinks (soft drinks, mixed drinks, wine) all the entertainment, I just can't say enough about the place. The decor was wonderful, the grounds were beautiful, everything was spotless. Like I said before, if you are looking for a five star resort and money is no object, don't go to Breezes, it isn't for you. However, if you are young at heart, work hard for you money and want value out of your vacation dollar, think about Breezes. We did and we are so glad we went. It was wonderful and we will go back one day.

not a relaxing place to stay
By: Anonymous from Connecticut
Date of Visit: February 2003
If you're doing your homework before booking a stay at Breezes (like I should've), you probably see the word LOUD come up a lot. If you get stuck with a room facing the pool area, get ready for loud music past midnight every night. If you're on a budget and looking to party with friends--this is your place. If you're looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful hotel--this is not it. All the bad reviews I've read on various sites, proved to be pretty accurate. Go there with LOW expectations.

Too much NOISE!
By: Chuck from New York, NY
Date of Visit: May 2002
Do not go if you want to relax and enjoy a quiet time at the beach. It's too noisy and crowded with all-day all-night party-goers getting drunk.
Hope this info. helps.
Cheers!
