Surrounded by construction

Booked this vacation in April 2006. Less than a week before arrival an email arrived with the news the villa nextdoor started renovations. After much prodding a small discount was offered and reluctantly accepted. Upon arrival, it was learned that a large building project requiring many heavy trucks coming in and out of the area all day from 7 am until evening was in progress. For $750 a night this was not acceptable. The owner held us to a 3 night minimum and did nothing to help us find another accommodation. MyCaribbean.com, the booking agency we used, was not able to intervene with the owner. We were thrilled to leave after three nights.

My husband and I stayed at Fletch's Cove for 1 week (May 29-June 5, 2004) and then went to our favorite hotel on Anguilla-Cap Juluca for another 5 days. We LOVED the experience of having
a home on Anguilla....The house is beautiful! Wonderful views from all places....nice little beach just steps away....so quiet.
The new road (Gumbs Highway) makes getting to the villa very easy
and smooth (used to be a rather bumpy ride)....Bottom line...we
already booked a return for next year for 10 days!!!
