Awesome beach and snorkeling

I really enjoyed myself there. It was clean and the staff was friendly. We arrived at midnight and our room had a plate with a sandwich and fruit as well as a drink waiting for us. The beach there is awesome! Its a 3 star hotel but with a 5 star beach. All the rooms are within 2 min walk to the sandy beach where you can snorkel with the fish and turtles. The beach must be 1km long and private. We were in the superior rooms and they were clean and in good condition. The food was ok except for that it was either look warm or cold but then again we are in a different country. That was the only little complaint I had here. I heard some had problems getting hot water, once again a different country but we had hot water. Did go to any night entertainment so I am not sure if they much in that department. We were busy exploring the area. The beach town and town of Akumal are within walking distance as well as Yal Ku Lagoon which is like swimming in an aquarium, a must see! We also went to Tulum and Hidden Worlds which is very easy to get to. You only have to walk 3 minutes up the driveway and cross the road to catch the colectivo. Tulum and Playa Del Carmen are only about 20 minutes either direction. Akumal Beach Resort is a nice, small, quiet resort without all the frills of the bigger resort but thats what we like and it gave us time to interact with the locals,another reason why we love it there. We will definitely be going back as there is so much to see and do there.
