Description: Located just 30 miles south of Cancun is a deserted beach. Playa del Secreto means 'secret beach' in Spanish. And there is nothing before you but the sky and the sea. Just crystal clear water and a long stretch of beach with only a giant log to sit on.
Aside from the birds, and the occasional person, traffic is minimal. It's harder these days to find that solitude, particularly during the peak of the tourist season. when the more popular beaches resemble Coney Island on a Sunday afternoon. Still, there are many remaining pockets of sand along the coast that haven't yet caught "Riviera Maya" fever.
