You will leave with a new understanding and appreciation of the world’s oceans, their beauty and power, their diversity in plant and animal life and their importance to the very survival of our planet. BUEI features two floors of inspiring interactive displays that reveal the secrets of the deep ocean. Discover Bermuda’s greatest unsolved mystery the “Tucker Cross” and view other amazing marine artifacts discovered by legendary diver and explorer Teddy Tucker. Encounter the last monster of the deep, the Giant Squid, with eyes the size of dinner plates grows to 60 feet in length. Be in awe of the Jack Lightbourne Shell Collection, incredibly beautiful. Experience the past and present of underwater exploration, like the Exosuit, for outer space or ocean depths? Voyage to Bermuda’s depths; dive 12,000 feet in a simulated submersible. Step in if you dare and experience a simulated shark cage attack. We invite you to have fun and explore our many interesting and fascinating exhibits. There’s a wealth of information awaiting you! Located outside Hamilton on East Broadway near the roundabout, bus routes 1, 3, 7 & 8. Open weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM and weekends from 10 AM to 5 PM. Admission is good all day.
