Description: The Utila Iguana is a very special animal which only lives in the Utila Mangrove swamps. It is endangeroud because of habitat loss and overhunting. At the Iguana Station you can have a good time learning more on the Tropical Environment and see the different special animals and plants of Utila. Tours through the station and the visitorscenter are free during the visitor hours. Guided Environmental Hikes are offered on request. Guides are mainly Biologists speak english, german and spanish. Donations to support the project and the planned nature preserve are very welcome
