Another great place to walk is on the Heritage Trail, with five miles of wildlife to explore. Or stroll along the sand on the tiny island of Peterson Cay National Park (accessible only by boat), in between snorkeling, diving or just plain relaxing. Lucayan National Park is full of caves, and the longest surveyed underwater cave system in the world. The Bahamas National Trust Rand Memorial Nature Center makes its imprint on nature with a collection of exotic birds and local plant life. Grand Bahama Island has the second highest amount of native birds among the Islands of the Bahamas.
