Description: Incredible beach with deep white powder sand 119 km south of Cancun. It is the prime nesting ground for the Green and Loggerhead sea turtles. X'cacel has the largest genetic nesting population on the planet and is critical to the survival of the magnificent ancient creatures. This beach has been an environmental battleground for the last year. It was sold to Sol Melia out of Spain for a large intrusive development. There has been a organized global protest against this development and there are rumors that the Mexican government will cave in and protect this area officially. Losing X'Cacel to the bulldozer would be a crime against nature and mankind. This area should be preserved for future generations.
