Mexico Beaches – Playa Del Carmen and Cozumel Mexico has beautiful beaches on both the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean. In this article, we look at two hot spots on the east coast – Playa del Carmen and Cozumel.

How to Make Authentic Mexican Cerviche First let me explain why I call it authentic Mexican cerviche. I lived in the Yucatan Peninsula over 20 years ago at the beginning of the birth of Cancun. I worked on boats every day and learned to make Mexican food dishes from the natives I worked with.

Paamul - A Hidden Jem along the Riviera Maya Just south of Playa del Carmen is Paamul, a great place for campers with some RV amenities and installations. It is very close to the reef, and an ideal spot for snorkeling or diving. It's got a nice beach front restaurant great for lunch and an afternoon cocktail.

Ferrys The "Mexico Water Jets" whisk you from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel island in about 35 min. They are air conditioned passenger ferrys with comfortable seating & music videos. Cost @ $7 US. There is still some advertising in circulation for a ferry that once ran from Cancun to Cozumel but it is no longer operating. On the beach Swimming in the Caribbean presents a danger from undertow, but if you follow the flag system you should have no fears about swimming in the beautiful glasslike water.
