Diving Grand Cayman: The Cayman Islands are a series of underwater mountain peaks surrounded by deep water. Consequently, their dive sites lie extremely close to the shore, sometimes even within swimming distance of it. Grand Cayman's reefs offer a variety of marine life encounters. These reefs are unspoiled and thrive in the warm, clear waters. The fish and wildlife are unafraid of divers, knowing we pose no threat. Grand Cayman visitors can choose from more than 159 dive sites. It is all in the Cayman Islands; steep, deep walls covered with corals and sponges in a wonderful array of colors. Wrecks featuring photogenic structures and curious marine residents. Shallow reefs filled with schooling and solitary fish and small invertebrates.
Grand Cayman's wrecks are also a treasure to dive and explore. Most have been below the water for many years and are beginning to become incorporated into the the reef itself. There is also the World's Best 12 Foot Dive...Stingray City. What ever your seeking you will find it in the abundant waters of Grand Cayman. Grand Cayman is also surrounded by walls. Some walls drop into the turquoise abyss, while others gentley slope downward. The walls are covered with marine life that explode into a rainbow of color and life. Cayman Brac Diving Little Cayman and Cayman Brac are the quiet, undeveloped sisters of glamorous and bustling Grand Cayman. Just 80 miles east of the larger island, these two island gems are havens for divers seeking quiet beauty and natural surroundings. With just a handful of dive operators on each island, plus the presence of two liveaboards, this area of the Caymans has retained its 'old island' charm and its pristine quality. Little Cayman features a total of nearly 30 moored dive sites, ranging from medium depths to the sheer plunging wall of Bloody Bay and the more rugged Jackson Bay area. Cayman Brac's sites number nearly 50, with a wide variety of diving and marine life. The remote location of these islands protects them from the perils of modern pollution, with a resultant excellent underwater visibility most of the year. The following is a sample list of great dive sites off Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.
