The Spice Isle...
 Grand Anse Beach Grenada
|
|
I flew to Grenada in May of 2005 to sail on the Yankee Clipper (Windjammer sailing ship) and returned to spend an amazing 10 days exploring Grenada.
Grenada is known as the Spice Isle. The main spice that it produces is nutmeg - which can be found every where. Nutmeg is covered with a rubbery, lace-like skin, known as mace.
The other major product is rum. You can visit the only rum distillery still using a water mill to crush the sugar cane.

The Layout...
Grenada is a mountainous island, covered with fragrant spice trees and rare tropical flowers and hidden lakes and waterfalls.
Typically stunning Caribbean beaches surround the island. Picturesque towns and a beautiful harbour make Grenada a popular resort for sun seeking holiday makers.

Bruce - Dive Master for Aquanauts

Grenada is a volcanic island with rivers, waterfalls, rainforests and mountain lakes. St. George's, the capital of Grenada, has a horseshoe-shaped harbour which is surrounded by dockside warehouses of various colours and red-tiled roofed shops and homes.
There is some excellent dive sites in Grenada and I spent a number of days diving with Aquanauts. I highly recommend there dive shop.
