We visited Tulum on our Cruise stop - we were cruising on Carnival Legend - one of the Bare Necessities clothing-optional cruises. The guide was native Mayan and really cared for the way he was presenting his heritage. There is a little beach - wooden stares lead you down from the cliff on which the pyramids are located. Our only disappointment was that the inside of the pyramids was off limits to protect them. Another disappointment - stay was too short.
