The setting is beautiful, the location is great, and the food is delicious BUT the service was poor, at best. Made 7:00 reservations for Easter Sunday and we arrived to find only one other table of 4 to be at the restaurant. We were seated and waited 30 minutes for our drink order to be taken. 15 minutes later we got water and the drinks and we placed our dinner order. By now there were several tables with customers. Our appitizers and bread arrived 20 minutes later. We have now been there over an hour. Dinner arrived 20 minutes after that. Dress is "anything goes" and take out is faster. The food was very good and priced right but the service made it not worth it.

The sugar cane shrimp and seafood crepe were excellent starters. The catch of the day in a creole sauce was a fabulous entre.

We actually visited the Little Dipper in 1999 (the date on the drop down only went back to 2003). My husband and I were married on the beach in Grenada and we loved everything about the country, but the Little Dipper topped the list. At the time there were only four tables on the deck with a view of the water. I had an incredible creole fish, my husband had spiny lobster. During our week in Grenada we had delicious meals at many restaurants but our two favorites were the most expensive restaurant on the island (at the time, Canboulay) and our least expensive dinner at the Little Dipper. We ate at the Little Dipper the evening of our wedding and promised our host that we would come back some day. It was one of the most memorable travel experiences of our lives, and we have had many. The food, the atmosphere, the scenery and the hospitality were all outstanding. If you enjoy a little adventure, something off the beaten path and an opportunity to connect with local culture, run don't walk to the Little Dipper! We will return someday---please save a table for us!

Le Bistro is a new restaurant and a new concept. Its located at Grand Anse nestled in a house against the hill behind the Marquis mall. Easy to get to, drive by the Marquis mall on your way towards Mount Cinnamon. Some 200yards past you will see a sign pointing you left onto a small road leading up the hill.
The place is run by Patrick and Irit, the concept is best compared with a private chef intimate dinner party, be it that it is not at your own house but his. That is the kind of feel and attention each customer gets.
You do need to make reservations to get in, they have a limited number of places but this allows them to provide top quality gourmet kitchen and adds to the intimacy and personalized approach. The chef, Patrick, is from Antibes France but has worked in different parts of the world, these influences show in the dishes he prepares: French, Arabic, Far Eastern, Mediterrean and Caribbean. Because they only work by reservations, the ingredients used in his meals are handpicked fresh and of top quality.
They are open for dinner every day exempt Sundays and Mondays, call him up for reservations and he will take your dining experience to a new level.
Because they have a limited number of covers, they don't make a lot of publicity, which makes Le Bistro and the entire experience all the more exclusive. It really feels as if you are having a special dinner in your own house with your private top chef. Nothing misses their attention, from "amuse bouche", starters, entrees over dessert and wines to perfectly match the entire experience.
We have been there and really felt as if he cooked to our personal wishes and prefference, a gourmet experience not to be missed. Be sure to call and try this out.
