The water here in this cove is that amazing crystal clear Caribbean blue with gentle waves and very little undertow. This inlet is more protected than most other beaches along the east coastal road so it is safer to swim or play in the shallow water near the shore on a calm day. You may want to try body surfing in this area. The restaurant serves an excellent variety of seafood, various "carne" meat and poultry dishes as well as other local specialties. The delicious house specialty is "Cocteles de Mariscos" or Seafood Cocktail. Directions/Location: Look for the sign on the side and roof of the restaurant/bar on Carretera Costera Oriente - Km. 37 - El Mirador is first marked beach to the south, Chen Rio is north. There is also a giant inflated "iceberg" for kids to play on. It floats in the water just off the beach. Paradise Beach is a nice beach. The water and sand are great, lots of fun or you can sit back and relax. The service was good you can get served right on the beach food and drinks. The people are very friendly, you'll think your in paradise.
