Restaurant Tip: "Bad service, mediocre food"
My husband and I were not impressed with our dining experience at the Agave Terrace. It took 30 minutes before someone took our drink orders and this service had to be requested. The food was okay but our disappointment with the poor service influenced our tastebuds in a negative way. I would not go back.

Restaurant Tip: "A Grand Time at Grand Cru at Yacht Haven Grande"
The Grand Cru was surprisingly contemporary in style. It was a bit of the unexpected. It was definitely one of my favorite dining experiences during our stay in St. Thomas.
Aside from the variety of the menu and the beautiful presentation, the service was wonderful. We were seated promptly and taken care of with a professional yet relaxed Caribbean style. For us the martini bar was a fun twist on dessert (although, the crĂšme Brule was to die for!).
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any traveler in that area. With its sleek, modern feel, we could have easily been sitting in a Manhattan upscale restaurant. It felt like a vacation from our vacation.
Type of Restaurant: Mediterranean
Price: US$21-30
Favorite Dish: For appetizers we ordered the Curry chicken dolmas with mustard tossed zucchini with caramelized onion Sambuca marmalades and the Tuna and fennel tartar with feta, tomato, cucumber and cardamom turmeric oil. For dinner we ordered Filet of Beef with lemon, rosemary and grape seed oil over gorgonzola creamed spinach and crispy caraway potatoes and flamed salmon with curried zucchini, charred calabazza and a red grape, feta cheese and pine nut relish. Every bite was decadent.

Wikked

Restaurant Tip: "Wikked at Yacht Haven Grande"
Wikked was our âhang outâ during our stay at Yacht Haven Grande. We ate most of our meals at this restaurant. The social atmosphere, waterside seating, and Caribbean breeze made it the place where we felt the most at home.
Because we ate there so much, we basically had almost everything off the menu. My comfort food â because it reminded me of home was the Cuban Sandwich. They definitely hit the mark with that one. These were some of my other favorites: Coconut Chicken Curry with Black Beans and Rice, the Rum Flamed Mahi Mahi Sandwich, The Roasted Red Pepper Sandwich (watch out for the Jalapeño Bread!), the Conch Fritter Sub, and how can you go wrong with the Grilled Flank Chimicurri.
I donât see how a trip to that area couldnât include eating at Wikked. The staff is energetic and friendly and is very willing to help you decide on the right meal for you to recommend a âwikkedâ cocktail. To us, Wikked was the type of restaurant to think of when you think Caribbean â relaxed, breezy, and beautiful.

Restaurant Tip: "Fat Turtle at Yacht Haven Grande"
Fat Turtle was definitely a fun dining experience. Music, contests, and plasma televisions made for an enjoyable experience. The meals are âfinger-lickingâ home-style family portions â so be prepared to share.
Iâm not sure that I could properly convey, the unique atmosphere at Fat Turtle, but I figured the best way would be to post their drink menuâŠ.it says it all.

Favorite Dish: I loved the Cornmeal Fried Oysters with Spicy Peanuts and a Creamy Green Onion Dressing. We decided to order two entrees (Mango & Ginger Grilled Shrimp with Caribbean slaw and Balsamic and Honey rubbed skirt steak with bourbon mashed sweet potatoes and a sauté of fennel, corn and spinach). Of course there was plenty leftover to take back to our villa and enjoy again later!

Restaurant Tip: "Agave Terrace at Point Pleasant"
Service indifferent after not purchasing wine or bottled water. You are asked to pick from a selection of sauces to marry with various fish selections without a clue as to what the chef had in mind. Too much for too little.
