Be sure to bring your swim suit and towel if you are visiting for a day trip. But the best are to south, along the Hotel Zone road to Boca Paila and the Sian Kaan Biosphere and Puntal Allen all the way to the end. Drive the road until you find a beach you want to visit. In some places beach access will be through the hotels and resorts you will be passing. Don't leave valuables in your car while you are on the beach. Just take what you need.
