Non registered posters

Just out of curiousity? Why do you allow non registered guests to post?
I am on the Aruba forum page and I was perusing some of the past posts and most are from guest users. Most websites where there is some kind of message board, the person has to be a registered user. I understand everyone has an opinion bad or good about a certain place but some of the posts are absolutely ridiculous and come from persons who have no intention of ever visiting the place, nor have they ever visited. They usually post once and then never again, just to start an argument or trouble or whatever. Like I said, I am just curious.

sadiemae - The board is currently only set up to allow only registered users to post. I changed this sometime back for the reasons you pointed out and to keep as much spam out as possible.

Thanks Neal- I was reading the old posts about Natalee Holloway and some of the posts were absolutely ridiculous and they were made by non registered posters who probably just signed on to aggravate and have never even been to any island in the caribbean let alone Aruba and never had any intention of visiting.
Thanks for letting me know that you now have to be a registered user to post

Alot of forums are like that, honestly. Mostly it has to do with spammers and such.
