Mayfield Falls info needed: Jamaica Forum

Hello,

My husband and I are traveling to Negril for the first time in May. We would love to do Mayfield Falls (we've done Dunns River perviously). How long of a ride will it be from RIU Negril (North end of Negril) to the falls.

Second question is what do they mean by Jacuzzis to swim in. Are they natural hot springs, or are they cool water pools along the falls. Any help would be appreciated. We love swimming in waterfalls and would like to give them a try.

Mayfield Falls are great , yes , you should go there. It´s maybe an hours drive I would say , but can´t remember really, it wasn´t very long anyway. You can climb up the falls and sit in the river bed in pools and stay under the falling water , just gorgeous Best thing to do isto hire a good driver who takes you there and waits for you . I wouldn´t go with a guided tour from RIU if I were you, because Mayfield Falls should be enjoyed calm. If you´re interested in a good and reliable driver, contact me

Was at Mayfield Falls for Easter...I was great roads are terrible but//the palce is fabulous.

About an hour/45 from Negril.

NO hot water here love...cold water pools...in the river.
