Looking for a lush exotic island w/ great beach, but cheap

Postby lhowlett on Sun Jul 22, 2007 5:39 pm

I've never traveled to the Carribean, but my husband and I would like to take a trip there in September for our 5 year anniversary. Being young we don't have a lot of money, so I'm hoping someone can point me to a hidden treasure! I would love something lush green, great beach, and romantic setting. All inclusive is great too. Any ideas for me? Even which islands to look into?

Thank You!

TRY BELIZE

Postby Becomebelizean on Sun Jul 29, 2007 4:22 pm

Hello,

Have you ever considered trying Belize as an alternative, just two hours from Florida or Texas and great beaches, all inclusive vacations, with a great eco tourism option to have wildlife and very green adventures. Let me know if you
like the option and I can provide more information.

email me at info@toucanvacations.com

Hi!

I can tell you that Roatan, Honduras is a great place to vacation, especially if you like diving, snorkelling, swimming and/or just kicking back.

There are some great beautiful white sand beaches. The sun is hot so bring your sunblock, sunhats and cool, light-cotton clothing. You can find accomodations in 'West End' for as low as about $40 per night for a room with 2 beds for your family. Most hotels and other places are $65 to $100 for 2 people.

If you rent a car for a couple of days (about $45 per day) you can travel along the whole island, see some breathtaking ocean views and beaches, etc.

I am developing condos here on Roatan so if you or anyone you know are ever interested in a condo here, let me know!

I have been living here in Roatan for about 18 months now and wouid be happy to answer any questions you might have about the island!

The Domincan Republic , Puerto Vallarta or the Riviera Maya(the area south of Cancun) would get my votes.

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

I think the Dominican Republic is a gorgeous island and very affordable !!!
Puerto Plata has an outstanding resort ...Lifestyle Hacienda, which is great if you book through an owner and get the VIP amenities. You can choose between spacious suites or your own villa. It's an all inclusive resort !!!

Hi colibrivillas!

I agree with you, Roatan, Honduras is really a great place for vacations,
Its beaches with white sand really looks very nice but sun is very hot.

The accomodation is a;sp very cheap and affordable for any one.

I visited it just one time and again making programme to visit in vacations.
The cancun hotels are providing world's one of the most cheapest hotel room.
