Iberostar Mexico Wedding - HELP!: Playa del Carmen Forum

Hi! I am planning a wedding for August 2005 and would like to stay at one of the Iberostar hotels near Cancun. I am looking into the Lindo. Does anyone have any advice or information to share with me?

We have stayed at two different Iberostars. I highly suggest the Iberostar Tucan or Quetzal. They are the same resort but divided down the middle. We have stayed at a few different resorts in Mexico and this was by far the best in our opinion. It is in Playa del Carmen. Good luck!

My daughter just had a 8/28/04 wedding at the Del Mar/Beach....I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful experience it was. We booked them at the Lindo for their honeymoon so I'll get add'l info on their stay if you wish as they just returned.

Hope your wedding coordinator will be Monica...she is perfect!

Guests that don't stay at the more expensive Iberostar Paraiso Lindo must pay a fee to enter the resort grounds for your wedding. Get married at the Iberostar next door (Paraiso Beach or (now called) Paraiso Maya-formerly Paraiso Del Mar, and honeymoon at the Lindo. Iberostar Tucan/Queztal is really nice, but at nightmare for a wedding, as it's always full and guests might have to stay at nearby resorts (Iberostar Tucan won't help you too if your guests don't get into the Tucan, they're too popular).

I went with Paraiso Del Mar, so I don't know much about the Lindo. If you go to their website: www.iberostar.com I believe you can get an email address for the wedding coordinator.
