hotel name change/weather: Playa del Carmen Forum

Why has viva maya changd its' name. will the name change make any differances to our stay.
We are bringing our family with us for our return visit as my retirement present to them.We are alll traveling in September [5th] next year. what can we expect as far as the weather is concerened.
