I stayed at this resort at the end of April 2006. I had no problems of any sort and it was better than I anticipated. After all, I did not pay a fortune either. The hotel staff and managers made everything happen that you needed or wanted and without delay. They did not want to accept any tips. I have traveled extensively and you must understand that 3rd world means the standards are not the same as home. You must be willing to give up some of your comforts to share this beautiful piece of paradise, especially if you want a $deal. There are always preparations that you can make before you travel so you won't be bothered by the bugs...no different than at home, except it is summer all the time there. I find that there is always plenty of food choices and this place was fantastic. Every Thursday they do a beach BBQ, which is huge staff effort. They made paella (seafood Spanish rice--delicious) at the beach one day. Lots to do and plenty of rest too. I want to learn more Spanish. This is THEIR language..it is our responsibiltiy to make ourselves understood not theirs!
