Fiesta Americana Dive Resort: Cozumel Mexico Forum

Any info that anyone can give me on this resort would like to go there soon...What is the beach like? Big/Small, Things for kids to do, food, any thing anyone can help with would be great!

We went there in August 2002 to dive. We loved the resort and rooms itself. Beautiful views from the rooms. The beach was a little small, but the pool areas were so nice that most people just hung out there. The food was not great by any means, but we still were wishing we had gone All-Inclusive because it's just easier, and the food is edible at least if you get the simple stuff like quesadillas and all. but, now that we are planning our return trip, and I am looking at the message boards, none of the hotels except Presidente get any decent food reviews across the board. Was in Cozumel 4/1-4/9/06. NOT impressed with treatment at Fiesta AMericana. We scheduled at snorkeling trip and were to be picked up at Fiesta Americana's pier; they told us that it was for hotel guests only and called security on a group of 10 middle-aged ladies! One would think after the hurricaine, there would be a little more understanding with so few piers left!
