Drinks and Snorkeling: Playa del Carmen Forum

We are planning a trip to this resort. Do they have any good beer (Corona, Coors Light, Bud Light, etc.) I don't want any SOL or any off brand beer. Also we snorkel but need to know if this place is on the beach where you can walk into the water or do you have to go down a ladder like at Cozumel? Also what is the best room Gardenview, oceanfront, oceanview, or jacuzzi? Thanks!!!!
