Dress Code at El Dorado Resort: Playa del Carmen Forum

I will be going to the El Dorado Resort end of November, I have read that there is a dress code for the restaurants (not a problem) but it states no sandals. Does this apply to Ladies dress sandals? Really appreciate it if someone would let me know.
