construction at/near swept away: Jamaica Forum

Greetings All:

I was hoping that some of you could give me some honest feedback regarding the construction going on at the resort. We have already booked a trip there in November and are worried that the construction may lessen our enjoyment during our stay. Can you hear the work from the rooms or while at the beach? Does it go an only during the early morning? Any and all feedback would be most helpful

We also have our honeymoon booked at the end of November at swept away. We has read a couple reviews about the construction and decided to make some phone calls. We booked our trip through Air Canada, they called the resort for us and they were advised that the construction is all internal (interior renovations) being done at the very edge of the resort. Their opinion was that it would not bother guests at all. I think it would if you happened to be in the room at the very end of the resort. Sorry for no concrete answers, but we are in the same boat. Just thought I would share what I know. Air Canada did say that they would switch us to any of the other 2 couples resorts on the island, but couples swept away appeals to us the most. If you're back from your trip before Nov 22md (our wedding day)please let me know how it went!

Hello, I just got married at couples swept away resort two weeks ago, June 23rd, we were at the new condos right by the construction. we did not hear anything, it was all internal. we had a great time. we've been two years in a row so, go enjoy your trip and have fun!
