We just got back from the reef club. The food is horrible, they would put left over food from the night before on the breakfast bar (dinner food). Half of the time they would not label the food and 90% was so gross it was enedible. The staff were very unfriendly if you said thank you for anything they would not answer or give you a snide look. The so call shows consist of one show for 7 nights and the rest of the time it was guests from the resort to participate in Mr. and Mrs. reef club (to raunchy for kids and on seperate nights) Karaoke, men versus women, battle of the sexes. There is no entertainment or contest and prizes throughout the day like the website says.
The gameroom/disco is a joke it's in the basement of reception and has one pool table cheeckers and 2 broken down board games that are in spanish. There is enough seating for about 15. The whole resort smells like cat pee because they have 3 unnewterd male cats running around and they look sickley and are missing patches of hair and have open sores. They gave us two doubles instead of a king and a cot so my husband slept with my daughter and they both got bed bug bites, after 4 nights of more and more bites each night I asked them to change the matress which they did and they recieved no more. The rooms are dirty even after they cleaned them, if you walked in bare feet they would be black. I read other posts from previous vacations there that were good, mabey they have a new owner or have lowered their standerds. we go out of the country every year for vacation and never once have I felt like I would have been happier if I was at home stuck in a snowstorm
