Fall time yoga and self-awareness retreats at EcoTulum Resorts feed the soul

TULUM, Mayan Riviera (Sept. 1, 2005) - Fall time on Mexico's coast ushers in a season of renewal at EcoTulum Resorts & Spa, the sacred backdrop for several retreats that feed the soul and nurture the spirit.

Yoga enthusiasts are invited to join in a nine-day luxury retreat at Azulik from Nov. 5-12, 2005, that includes daily yoga and meditation classes for all levels, one hour of personal one-on-one yoga consultation, seven massages at Maya Spa, the onsite holistic wellness center, transfers from Cancun to Tulum, daily breakfast, and group activities such as the Mayan temazcal and an energy cleanse.

The retreat is hosted by Vancouver-based yoga instructor Christine Germyn, a travel journalist who joined the Cabanas Copal yoga teacher certification retreat last year and has since devoted her life to instilling its values and sharing safe practice techniques with others.

Christine classifies her style as safe Flow Yoga consisting of Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow and Power. "My classes begin with meditation followed by sun salutations, standing and sitting postures completed with a deep relaxation. Each class provides a well-balanced exercise for the whole body creating a beautiful state of serenity in body, mind and soul," she explains.

Packages are $2,694.30 US including taxes for double occupancy and $3,381 US including taxes for single occupancy. For more information contact Christine Germyn at info@yogawithchristine.com, website: www.yogawithchristine.com or call (604) 838-YOGA.

For participants seeking to open their senses and immerse in explorations into their inner body's wisdom, Canmore, Alberta-based master herbalist and iridologist Martha McCallum will host week-long "Feel Your Best" retreats at Cabanas Copal, a 47-cabin rustic eco-hotel on the beaches of Tulum. Martha teaches mindfulness meditation and uses effective techniques of Hakomi body/mind therapy, daily yoga and ocean swims to empower participants to confront blocks in their journey into wholeness. Retreat dates are Nov. 12-19, 2005 and Feb. 4-11, 2006.

The "Feel Your Best" retreat is $1,350 US and includes the retreat, yoga, seven nights accommodation in double ocean-view cabanas, seven days of delicious, healthy Mexican cuisine, all adventures and travel to and from Cancun airport. (Cabana upgrades available.)
