Where to snorkel on Grand Cayman

Postby webdiver on Sat Dec 17, 2005 1:01 am

I have a quick vactation question about the Cayman Islands, I'm not even sure this is the right place to ask it but here goes: I've heard a lot about snorkeling in the George Town area of Grand Cayman and north of Seven Mile Beach. Everyone talks about how there is great snorkeling at Eden Rock and Cemetery Reef, but no one mentions anything about the East End. I've heard that there is some snorkeling around Colliers Bay and the Queen's Monument, but there isn't much info about those areas. Does anyone have any idea whether or not there is any worthwhile snorkeling in those areas? I'm mainly a diver, but good snorkeling is important considering that there are members of my family who don't dive.
Thanks

I just returned from Grand Cayman on 12/17. I snorkled at Morritt's Resort and at Rum Point and around stingray city and the sandbar. There was lots to see in all of those locations if you have some time. Make it a point to swim with the current so you can cover more area.

Grand Cayman is mostly a shopping port. But if you want to go to hell, take a cab to the city of Hell on Cayman. You can go swimming with the Sting Rays in Grand Cayman.Go to a Turtle Farm too...but that's about it.
