Has anyone been married or know of anyone who has been married in St. Lucia? Do you have any advice or comments?

For weddings on St. Lucia I would check out Stonefield Estates. http://www.stonefieldvillas.com/

I have not been here personally but I have heard from several couples that had a fabulous experience here.

weddings in St Lucia

Postby Hugh Wrang on Tue Feb 07, 2006 5:48 am

I work for a company where we have just launched our new weddings and honeymoons site. I think it might help people who are looking for ideas of places to go for their wedding or honeymoon.

St Lucia weddings

We have St Lucia as one of our top ten destinations and there is some info there, on a very wonderful destination. My colleague just got back from a Sandals trip with his long term girlfriend and had a lovely romantic time. He said Les Pitons (the little green hills) are amazing! We list a few venues and we have put lots of pcitures on so you can easily see what St Lucia and its hotels and beaches look like. We specialise in Beaches and Sandals too if that is of interest?

If you send us an email or complete a form on the web site we will be happy to get back to you with detailed info on a St Lucia wedding for your party!

Hope this is not too late for you. Anyway, I was married at Sandals Halcyon in 2001 just after 9/11. I thought the wedding would be cookie cutter being a resort that does these regularly and all. The wedding was beyond our wildest dreams. They personalized it for us and the setting - it's gorgeous. There are so many wonderful places on the island you can have a wedding, whether they be a resort or not. Don't hesitate to go there for your wedding - you won't be disappointed. Yes, Stonefield Estates is beautiful - we stayed there, too, but did not choose to be married there. The people of St. Lucia are wonderful, too. Unless you are planning to get married at other than a resort, you don't need a wedding planner as all the resorts have someone designated for that purpose. We are going back for our 5th anniversary this year, can't wait.

Wedding at St Lucia Regency May 2005

Postby cliffc@ntlworld.com on Mon May 22, 2006 12:00 pm

Hi

We booked our wedding at Sandals Regency St Lucia and have regretted it ever since. It is nothing more than a conveyor belt wedding resort and unfortunately the wedding co-ordinator who was there at the time did not pass a lot of the paperwork down, hence ruining our wedding. Our cake was taken, photographs were all blurred, transport did not turn up etc. We wished we had researched it more. It depends on what you want. We paid a lot of money to go there and wish we had never heard of the place, let alone anything else. Yes, we are bitter, you only get married once and Sandals totally destroyed our special day making it meaningless and tacky. There are a lot of lovely places to get married in St Lucia. It is a great island. At the end of the day the choice comes down to yourself. Look on TripAdvisor, great website. We wished we had found it earlier. Whatever you decide to do, we wish you all the best for the future.
