I am trying to plan a wedding in April in Playa Del Carmen and I am not geting anywhere with my research. I have never been there so I think it's extra hard. Can anyone recommend a place for me to have a wedding of 50-60 people? I would like everyone staying in the same hotel, and hopefully have the wedding and reception in the same area. I don't want my guests to have to rent cars. I want the ceremony on the beach. Please give me some input! There is just so much there I can't even begin to figure it out!

I have a good friend who is a wedding planner in Playa del Carmen. She has been here quite awhile and can help you to not only choose a location but also plan the ceremony, find a photographer and wade through all the paperwork required. My daughter had a 75 guest wedding at the Reef Playacar in July of this year. We had the most incredible time. The wedding ceremony and reception was on the beach. Thank goodness no rain. We have a lot of info and feedback but neither of us have any extra time to write it all down for about the next 10 days. We would love to give you a lot of info as I know we would have really appreciated it while we were planning. Can you wait 10 days. [font=Tahoma] [/font][align=justify][B] Hello, great to know there will be another Bride in the Spring 2007 at Playa del Carmen.. my wedding is on February 23rd at Royal Hideaway with approximately 30-40 attending. We begin with Wine & Brandy will regestering at 4:00-5:30pm, 5:30-7pm the ceremony (civil, then symbolic), photography, and accomodations for dinner, then dancing with a contracted DJ. ----The hotel will provide a Wedding Coordinator --- It is a beautiful hotel with luxury services. April will still be their high season, but if your guests book early they can get some great rates for this 5-diamond hotel, if there is occupancy. My other recommendation would be RUI Palace and the new re-opening of REAL Hotel... It is advisable to be in MEXICO 4 complete days for a civil wedding ----good luck!
