The weather in December is spectacular a bit cool in the evening(70's) but perfect and the island is decorated beautifully for Christmas you will love it. Are you coming to dive?

Thanks reefrat!

No, I'm not a diver but I love to snorkle. One of my family members loves diving. Do you recommend a place to stay? Any other islands to recommend?

Re: Cozumel Questions

say76,

There are a number of good hotels and resorts in Cozumel. I like to stay at the Iberostar Resort. Cozumel also offers many condos/villas that are available for rent as well. If you are traveling with your family you may want to consider a vacation rental vs. a hotel. There are options in town or in the Northern Hotel Zone there are rentals available on the beach as well - with a few rentals on the beach in the southern hotel zone.

Other islands...? Mmmm....so many choices. Much of that depends on you and what you and your family enjoy doing. If you are looking to stay in Mexico you may want to check out Playa del Carmen or even Akumal.

What do you like to do on vacation? Nightlife, great beaches, diving/snorkeling, shopping, laid back or on the go, eating out or cooking in, kids/children...etc.

sorry I'm so late replying....so busy w/ work I don't have time to answer personal mail...we like clean, low use beaches but great water...no undertows , like the thatched cabanas, jungle , must not be rainy season, lots of sun required and all this in December! Been to Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico (baja-too cold, Cancun, Cozumel, Isla de Mujeres), Bora Bora, Austrailia;cannot have high rise resorts running
. into one another... I guess it's too late for December for anything decent or affordable.

Thanks,

I was planning on visiting Cozumel in late December, early January. Is the weather good during this period? Is the water temp good? If you're on a budget, what are some of the best all inclusive resorts to stay at in Cozumel?

Thanks so much for any advice you can give me!
