I know the EDR has an adjoining nude resort, but when we last went there there was little toplessness at EDR, the isolated beach south of EDR (Turtle Sanctuary) was used as a nude beach. Has any of this changed? We would very much prefer a topless beach. Going in December.

NOTHING HAS CHANGED AT THE EDR. THEY ARE DOING ALOT OF WORK TO UPGRADE, BUT THE TOPLESSNESS IS STILL A VERY SMALL NUMBER. WE TRANSFERED TO THE HIDDEN BEACH RESORT AND HAD A GREAT TIME. BEST VACATION WE EVER HAD. GOING BACK NEXT YEAR. THE EDR WAS FINE AND THE STAFF GREAT.

Yes - they actually just open a co-joining resort next to EDR&S that called Hidden Beach Resort which opened last Oct I believe and it an ALL NUDE Resort... if you staying at the EDR&S you can upgrade to the Hidden Beach for minimal fee

My female partner and I are going to the El Dorado Resort Jan. 3-9 and we also were hoping to be able to sunbathe nude. Is there a definitive answer on whether or not we can use the Hidden Beach nude beach for free? If anyone else is going during that time frame, please contact me and maybe we can find the nude places together!
