I'm looking for some reviews on these
hotels.I will be visiting Cancun Aug.4-11 and am not sure which hotel I want
to stay at.I will be traveling with my
husband and our 16 year old son.
Iv'e heard that cancun palace is quite
a bit more upbeat than sun palace.

I have stayed at the Cancun Palace twice and visited the Sun. The Sun is much smaller and more quiet. The Cancun is bigger with more action and of course more noise. If you like to party go to the Cancun. If you just want a nice quiet stay then stay at the Sun.
Be sure to get the "All Inclusive "package, wherever you stay.

I have been to Cancun 8 times. 5 out of the 8 I have stayed at the Cancun Palace. I love the place. The sun is very small with no beach. The palace has a beautiful beach with all kinds of activities. If you want a very laid back vacation stay at the sun if you want a fun filled vacation, stay at the palace.

I stayed at the Sun Palace in June and It was very nice and quiet. I went with my husband and another couple. Location was okay, but you had to take a bus to everything. I visited the Cancun Palace and that is where I will be staying the last week of July, since I will be traveling with my family (3 children). Both are nice, but the Cancun Palace is in walking distance to the La Isla Mall. A teenage would appreciate the Cancun Palace more. Hope I could help, also definately go the Xel-Ha. Great snorkeling in a beautiful area.
