Thank goodness. I ran into a friend of mine that recently honeymooned at the resort. All in all she said that it was OK. She got put in another room, which was an upgrade. But she said service was good ... food was mediocre. Hey, I'm a tiny girl... I don't eat much anyway. Sand flies will eat you alive  LOL... No problem... bug spray. Drinks were plentiful, but a few couples and groups couldn't handle their liquor and got a little bit rowdy.. Which is OK .. there are always a few idiots anywhere you go. I was still amped up to go ...Then she made a comment that kinda bugged me. She said just lower your expectations and you will have a good time. UMMMM No... paying $4,500 + bucks to lower my expectations NEVER!!! Maybe for just a vacay but not my HONEYMOON!!! So no sandals for me this time. Maybe summer vacay. Going to Cayman islands or Hawaii!!!

My bride and I had a disasterous time at Sandals recently. Search for "Sandals" in this forum to read about it. They actually have acknowledged their mistakes in writing to me but will only offer ONE NIGHT's future stay for checking other couples into our same room with keys!

sandals honeymoon

I have done lots and lots of research on this resort for my honeymoon in april and basically you get what you pay for. many people reccomend the butler category suite. not necessarily to be treated like a vip, but because of the actual rooms and their cleanliness. also, reserving beach chairs is a very big hassle according to the many reviews i have read. with a butler, you can take your time and enjoy breakfast and a spa treatment in the morning and you will find your lounge chairs waiting for you.
Good lucK!
