Sandals Regency Anyone? Some Questions

Postby sachae on Sun Jan 08, 2006 9:12 am

Has anyone been to this one in the last month or is going there. I would like to know if the rooms are nice in the main hotel, that is where my husband and I have booked, it is the Luxury Oceanview Room, not that it matters but does it have a balcony, the main thing is it nicely appointed, attractive decor and roomy?
Are the evenings a little cool, should we bring something to wear when we are walking back from dinner, we are going in the first week in March.
Also just for walking on the grounds as I have read that some places are rather steep, should I bring something alittle more than sandals.
Finally the last question, what are some of the good buys in the village, like perfume which I know it is not but that is what I mean.
No (1) more is there a tax for leaving, we are from toronto.

Thanks

We just got back Thursday from a week at Sandals Regency. The Luxury rooms are in the central area of the resort I believe. These are mostly renovated rooms with brand new appointments. If you get a room that isn't to your liking, just alert them upon checkin. They will move you.

It isn't cool at all at nights. The lows are in the mid 70s. You should be fine in Sandals as there are shuttles to the top of the resort in the bluffs.

They have perfume at a duty free store at the airport along with a liquor store and a few other tiny shops. We didn't go shopping downtown. At the resort there is a jewelry store along with a gift shop.

The departure tax was due in cash of $21 US.

You'll have a great time!
