Royal vs. Seaside suites

Postby Cindy Calwell on Thu May 19, 2005 2:11 pm

Does anyone have any advice on choosing between the Eldorado Royal and the Eldorado Seaside Suites? My husband and I are wanting to book our honeymoon for September at one of the 2 and it is hard to decide based off the web sites.

i am going on my honeymoon to the royal and the reason i picked it is because it is adult only, and that was the atomoshere we wanted for our honeymoon rather then a family orinentated resort, i have heard that both resorts are great but if you are looking for rest realtion and romance i would recommend the royal.....

I've now stayed at both resorts and there's no question that the Royale is the BEST. Seaside is nice but still a work in progress

We are thinking of the El Dorado Royale for our honeymoon in late Setember. The net reveiws look goodone thing is a lot of the reviews for this area say that mosquitos are a problem, if there is one in the country it will attach itself to my fiance and she does not react to well to them, last thing she will want to be is ill from them on our honeymoon, is this the case here? Thanks

El Dorado Royale and Seaside

Postby pomice on Tue Nov 29, 2005 5:51 pm

Did you go? We have been to both resorts. ElDorado Seaside before Hurricane Emily and then transferred to El Dorado Royale after. We found that Seaside was smaller and more intimate. Wonderful gourmet restaurants. There were some units under construction and the noise was not pleasant. We were treated very well by the staff during the weekened evacuation to Cancun Center and brought back for luggage and taken to the Royale. It took them a couple of days to get everything up and running. The Royale is exquisite. A magnificent lobby and nice shops. Wonderful restaurants and a variety of entertainment. Both are lovely but I would chose the Royale if I was going to return.
