rooms

My husband and I (with another couple) will be celebrating our 11th anniversary at the El Dorado Royale in late August. Is it worth $650 per couple to upgrade from a Gardenview room to a Oceanview Jr. Suite? Is the Gardenview far away from the beach and all of the activities?

Kristi: My sister-in-law and I stayed at the ElDorado Royale this past March 2003. We booked through a travel agent. A Gardenview was apparently selected for us. We had no idea what type of room we were going to get prior to arrival. Upon arrival the staff offered to upgrade us for $75.00 more for the week for an Oceanview. For that price it was well worth the upgrade. I would suggest that you wait and upgrade once you arrive. Perhaps hold out for a Casita! The Gardenviews are around to the front side of the resort and overlooks beautiful courtyards with flowers and flowering bushes. The ocean is within a very short walking distance. Overall the El Dorado is fabulous whichever accomadation you select! We loved it! Happy Anniversary!

You should upgrade to a Oceanview jr. suite - but do it for $0. Bargain with them - this time of year it isn't busy and we just returned yesterday 8/5 and stayed in a ocean front view room and we loved it. All activites are semi-quite. This place is not rowdy. any more questions please email me. I am almost positive they would upgrade for 0 due to this not being a high volume time of year.

Just returned and had a great time, gardenviews are pretty far from the beach would be well worth the money to upgrade all the way to a casita, the rooms are awsome right by the beach and semi-private pools with swim up bars and first choice at all restaurant reservations (we heard a lot of people that could not get reservations that were not in casitas)

WE JUST GOT BACK FROM EL DORADO ROYALE ON 8/4 FROM A LONG WEEKEND I DO NOT THINK YOU NEED TO UP GRADE AS THE HOTEL DOES UPGRADES A LOT CHEAPER THAN THE PRICE YOU MENTIONED.

THERE ARE ALOT OF POOLS TO USE WE NEVER WENT TO THE BEACH AND WE WERE VERY CLOSE AS WE STAYED IN THE CASITAS

IT WAS VERY VERY HOT UNBELIEVEABLY HOT

YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME NO MATTER WHERE YOU STAY

BE SURE TO BRING SUN SCREEN (45) WITH YOU AS IT IS $20 FOR A SMALL BOTTLE THERE

ENJOY

My husband and I just returned on Aug 8th. We were in a garden room and it was beautiful. If you think about it you won't be in the room all that much and if you are it's too hot to have the sliding glass doors open. The ocean views I think were near the bar and loud entertainment. We were very happy with our room. We were there celebrating our anniversary. The beds are soft and comfy. Everyone is so nice.
Hope you enjoy your stay. I don't think you will be disappointed. If you have any questions or concerns while you are there, talk to Monica in guest services. She is wonderful.

We got to see what the Casitas's looked like when we bought time share since that is what we would be staying in. It is basically a big round room. the ammenities it has that the others don't is a DVD player. So bring movies. The weird thing is the shower was outside. The water came out of some antlers. Yes I know that sounds weird, but the room we saw had that. We stayed in a Garden suite and we loved it. We weren't in the room all that much. I am so ready to go back. Have a great time. If you have any questions, ask Monica in guest services.
