I'm planning to stay at the Reef Club soon but am now a little worried about the beach being rocky after reading some other comments. How bad is it? I previously stayed at the Allegro where there were no rocks at all. Should I choose another resort if our group plans to be in the water a lot?

all you need is the shoes with the rubber bottoms or swim fins if you are snorkleing... ive heard that anyway.... i hope its true...

I have stayed at the Reef for the past two years, and the beach is rocky-ish, but not like american beaches...the rocks are much smoother...and the water is crystal clear, you can make your way around the rocks...If it makes you nervous, bring water shoes, but I never did. feel free to ask any questions...I loved it there...

I was wondering if there are any gay/lesbians resturants, bars, or any social inviroment in Cozumel.

The beach at Reef Club is great. I went with my sisters family and all of our kids ages 1,3,5,and 7 and no one had any problem on the beach. There was also not a current in the water (which I was afraid of) THey have a good deal of water marked where it is safe before where the current is. We wore aqua socks and had a great time!
