Hi! I am going to the Bahia in a couple weeks and wondered if anyone has recommendations on which restaraunts are the best! Also is there an outdoor bar/restaraunt here? Any suggestions on certain rooms to request? Thanks for any feedback!

We are also going May 31/2003. There is a beach bar/restaurant where you got hotdogs, hamburgers, nachos etc. From what I have read, the Mexican restaurant is ok, Italian is good, the main buffet is the best. Drinks at the bars are slushy machines with a bottle of rum next to it (serve yourself) and beer tap (drink all you want). Request ocean view/2nd or 3rd floor. Most of these you will see the ocean, 1st floor you will not. I can hardly wait to go as from what I have read from other reviews, the service is supposed to be excellent, grounds beautiful, rooms really nice. Bring beach shoes ($6.00 at Wallmart) as the Tulum side has sharp coral, the beach between the Tulum and Akumal is the nicest, Akumal side in the bay area is the best for snorkeling. Remember where there is coral, there is lots of fish to see!!!. You can go out about 50 feet before you will bump into any coral on the Akumal side, 10 feet out on the Tulum side.
