i own a week at 7 mile beach resort and was just hit with a $2000.00 renovation bill. ive done some research around the net and have yet to find another property anywhere at which the timeshare owner has to foot the bill for renovations. i feel it is unfair to put the cost of renovations of the property which partially will benefit exchanges and new sales on the current owners who are now paying over $600 a year for maintenance. the resort said they put this to a vote with the owners but i never recieved a ballot or a copy of the plans. i just recieved a bill 1 month in advance of the LATE fee deadline. if there is anyone out there with information about this travesty please reply to my post. i am currently researching the laws pertaining to this kind of practice and would like to hear from you.
