Stayed at Rendezvous off season, 06/03. Agree that upper veranda has the best rooms. Not too crowded (60% occupied) Food was great, especially in private dining room. No trouble with locals at all. Walked the beach every day but not at night. Very relaxing. Mostly British visitors (75%) We were not treated rudely at all. Would go again.

Did you use the helicopter transportation to and/or from the airport/resort ? I know it's pricey, but no more so that an excursion and it will give us much added time (not to mention to amazing views of the island) to spend at the resort. I know the ride from the airport is usually in a cramped, hot van and up and down some fairly scarey roadways (we've been to St. Lucia before). any thoughts ?
