As a travel agent, my husband and I were very disappointed in the hotel, since I know that the Dominican Republic counts on tourism. The decor of the place and the facilities were beautiful, but the front desk and the staff were not helpful at all. We were also stranded at the airport arriving and leaving and had to make quite a few calls to straighten this out. To top it off, I was sick for two days from the buffet. I am sorry to say that I would not recommend the place, except if the service of the staff improves. Thank you.
A final note is that the weather was gorgeous and the ocean breezes were really nice also.

Similar experience at Iberostar Costa Dorada

We arrived okay, but also had terrible front desk service there when I went in January. We booked three rooms and were told they only had two available when we arrived and management didn't even try to help rectify the situation. When I wrote to them afterward regarding a refund for the third room, they denied it because they "upgraded" us to a suite -- which they had to do to fit us all in. I'm sure you can get better service elsewhere... It was beautiful weather and we made the most of it.
